Kule'a is an Hawaiian word that means "successful, competent; happily".

Recently the Kule'a Farm Kava Co. started a Kava plantation in Hawaii on the island of Kauai and are propagating four different varieties of kava which may take five to eight years to mature.

Because of this long maturation time, in the interim, Kule'a imports Kava from Tonga and the Fiji Islands. The owners of Kule'a Kava Farm Co. have traveled extensively throughout Polynesia for the past 12 years, during which they lived and worked with many individuals and families in the region establishing long-lasting relationships which have enabled them to obtain kava from friends whom they can trust to produce the best quality plant in the world. As often as possible they visit various islands to maintain a personal “hands on” position in the kava marketplace -”it’s a tough job, but somebody has to do it!”
