Keeping Track of Personal Growth
A progress journal is where we organize our thoughts and feelings, situations
and observations, and most importantly- hard evidence. Progress is difficult
to determine without a method of measurement and a place to record it. When
we can measure and record what we're thinking, we can learn more about the
way we are feeling.
Depression, anxiety and related emotional disturbances are likely to be
caused by multiple factors, including behavioral, environmental, as well
as chemical. In order to effectively and permanently resolve any type of
emotional disturbance, you must learn what the underlying causes of your
symptoms are— Where do your feelings come from?
Learning to identify what causes you to feel the way you do will help you
to develop proper coping techniques, create more positive changes in your
life, and start feeling better.
