In October of 2006, the company reached another plateau of achievement when they were named among the top 10 best small companies by Forbes magazine. A pioneer in glyconutritional supplementation, Mannatech has been honored as one of the hot-growth small businesses in North America. The recent recognition by Forbes as the 5 th-best small company in America is further proof that the firm is a leader in its industry.

Mannatech named to Forbes top 10

In October of 2006, Forbes magazine named Mannatech one of the top 10 best small companies in America. Forbes’ Best 200 Small Companies list recognized small businesses that have shown the most growth as well as most potential for growth. Forbes made its decision based on Mannatech’s growth over the last several years, positive sales and profit growth, with net profit margins greater than 5 percent. The company, which is based in suburban Dallas, also has a strong, debt-free balance sheet.

Mannatech as a leader in health and wellness

One of Mannatech’s first ground-breaking breakthroughs occurred in 1996, when the company announced the introduction of nutritional supplement known as the Ambrotose complex. The complex is comprised of a unique blend of plant-based saccharides that the company referred to as glyconutrients. Medical research acknowledges that certain sugars are needed at the cellular level for optimum cellular function. Sources of many of these plant saccharides are considered deficient in modern diets, so Mannatech sought new and better sources of the nutrients. This effort culminated in the Ambrotose formulation.

Today, Mannatech has more than two dozen glyconutritional products for adults and children that address health and nutrition, sports performance, weight management and skin care.
